tiroLexikon - districts

The function of the districts or Bezirke in Austria lies between the provincial administrative units and the local communities, in the parts of Italy included in the atlas they are the district communities or comprensorii. The Bavarian equivalents are the so-called Landkreise and in Graubünden they are the districts or Bezirke (see definitions). In this part short descriptions, statistical values and data sheets are given for all the districts, district communities, compresorii and Landkreise.
